hey, that’s great. our economy is still in the crapper (shh! don’t call it a recession, it’s an election year), and we’re giving $9 billion to iraq. now, I’m all for ‘helping’ other countries, especially the ones we bombed to bits. but maybe - just maybe - we shouldn’t have been there in the first place. there would be no buyer’s bomber’s remorse.
oh, don’t worry; we’ll make blowing the hell out of your country all better the american way: by throwing money at it.

hands up if you watched the democratic national convention last night!
yeah, I didn’t, either. I was watching CSI: miami instead, because it’s got that southern girl from the west wing. and also because political conventions are boring and stupid; it’s like watching espn classic. we already know who’s going to win, so what’s the point?
apparently I missed out, though, because a-list celebrities like jerry springer were there. here he is saying how happy the ‘crats are that michael moore is doing their job for them:
Jerry Springer, a television host and former mayor of Cincinnati who is a delegate from Ohio, said he thought Moore belonged at the convention.
“This is American politics,” said Springer, 60. “It’s about participation. The beauty of the Democratic Party is it covers all ends of the spectrum.”
what the…? did they just say he’s there representing ohio? we’re screwed.
