when did this happen?
hands up if you watched the democratic national convention last night!
yeah, I didn’t, either. I was watching CSI: miami instead, because it’s got that southern girl from the west wing. and also because political conventions are boring and stupid; it’s like watching espn classic. we already know who’s going to win, so what’s the point?
apparently I missed out, though, because a-list celebrities like jerry springer were there. here he is saying how happy the ‘crats are that michael moore is doing their job for them:
Jerry Springer, a television host and former mayor of Cincinnati who is a delegate from Ohio, said he thought Moore belonged at the convention.
“This is American politics,” said Springer, 60. “It’s about participation. The beauty of the Democratic Party is it covers all ends of the spectrum.”
what the…? did they just say he’s there representing ohio? we’re screwed.

You missed out big time. Every single speech given in prime time was fantastic. My favorite quote of the night was from Bill Clinton,
“Their opponents will tell you we should be afraid of John Kerry and John Edwards, because they won’t stand up to the terrorists. Don’t you believe it. Strength and wisdom are not opposing values.”
