for a long time, there has always been that one actor who could singlehandedly ruin an entire movie for me.
in the 80’s, it was dolph lundgren. he’s still going strong with the b-movie crap, but in terms of the mainstream cinema, he’s dead to me.
then, with the mid-to-late 90’s came a new contender… nicholas cage. sure, he was in raising arizona, but then he made crap like gone in 60 seconds, captain corelli’s mandolin, and con air. I’m on the fence with the rock and face/off, simply because (respectively) sean connery is the man, and john woo was still a decent director at that point.

all that talk about jobs going to india was nothing. now the bush administration wants to outsource our torture, too?
of course, few – if any – media outlets seem to be picking up this story, thanks to their self-imposed blackout. it doesn’t help that the legislation is buried in a bill for 9/11 reforms, either.

I was digging around in my photo archives today (I’ll explain why when I’m done with what I’m doing), and came across something I hadn’t seen in a long time:
hard to believe that was almost 4 years ago. can’t say I’ve been doing much since then, either.

the best part about this article is the advertiser links that I got when I was reading it. apparently overture’s “content match” system doesn’t work so well.
