so it seems the whole recount thing just won’t die quietly.
apparently diebold wasn’t quite the fraudulent bastard that many thought. or at the very least, they’ve become innocent by association. turns out that some company called “triad” is much more scheming and/or incompetent. what do you expect from a company that shares its name with the chinese mafia and a really terrible computer game?
The Triad Systems representative suggested that since the hand count had to match the machine count exactly, and since it would be hard to memorize the several numbers which would be needed to get the count to come out exactly right, that they should post this series of numbers on the wall where they would not be noticed by observers.
not that this latest scandal is likely to change anything… I think the most that would come out of it all is a hefty fine and a “don’t do that again”.

well, I finally got around to adding all those photos from last weekend. I forgot some names of the people we met, and I place the blame squarely on having helped katie, brett, dan, and hillary move earlier that day. anyway, check out the photos.

tonight at 11: are your kids safe at concerts?
yep, time for another round of scare tactics by the local news.
the only good that could come out of this tragedy is that the morons who wanted their concealed weapons might finally take some heat for their idiotic law. granted, the shooting took place at the alrosa villa – not exactly a high-class joint. and we are in a red state, so changing that law is going to take some serious effort.
