rest in peace, terri

today’s breaking news? no, not the fact that the rwandan hutus called an end to their rebellion, finally denouncing the 1994 genocide of 80,000 of their own countrymen. oh, no. the top story is all about terri schiavo’s death. no doubt that the pointless media circus and political meddling surrounding her—and her family’s—struggle will continue on without her, arguing over private family matters as if there was some great debate.

how sad that her last days will be remembered not for her, but for the political activists who escalated a personal issue into something that the government had no right to interfere with.

“Hotel Rwanda” was an amazing movie, it taught me so much about the horrific genocide. Before, I never understood what was so bad about what was going on in Rwanda from the 30-seconds news clips in the 90’s, but now I do. I felt like crap and full of complete guilt after watching it, but I think that was the point. I hope the Hutus are serious and really stop killing the Tutsis, but I’m skeptical.

    Oh, and Don Cheadle rocks!

Rwanda? Rwanda? What do the deaths of hundreds upon thousands of Africans have to do with the death of 1 white woman? I am not sure why you mention this at all.

Oh, my bad, who cares about Africa! RIP Terri.

The great Tom Delay said it best about Terri, “The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior”. Who gives a crap about the Hutus and Tutsis! They’re black!

My point exactly, and those blacks will just end up dying of AIDS anyway. Not like St. Terri though. God Rest Her Soul.

I propose emergency legislation to exhume terri’s body. she may have said at some point that she wanted to be buried, but it’s not in writing.

Kevin, I actually heard that Michael and her parents are fighting over what to do with her remains. They want to bury her and he wants to cremate her! When will this madness end? Let Terry RIP!

What? My heavens! The U.S. Congress needs to pass emergency legislation and get her buried ASAP. The only thing more unjust than her murder would be an eeeevil pagan cremation and placement in an unholy URN OF INIQUITAAAY!!!
