user stats

I’m looking for some information on what resolution people have their monitors set to. I created a few new versions of this site, but realized I don’t know if anyone will be able to view it correctly.

technically, I could look at the server logs, but for the most part it’s filled with bot entries, making the information useless.

if you don’t know what display resolution you’re using, just answer with the first response (800 x 600 or lower).

tetris on a building

I love the power glove. it’s so bad.

in honor of the fact that the terrible 80’s movie the wizard will finally be released on dvd this august, here’s a metal band called “powerglove” covering the tetris themes:

I was always more of a “song B” kind of guy myself.

blondfire

I was wondering why I hadn’t heard anything about astaire for a while. turns out the estate of a certain film star decided to sue them for the use of the name. so they’re now known as blondfire. doesn’t have the same ring to it, but it’ll have to do.

I thought they’d be more well-known by now, but I guess it didn’t help their exposure much when they agreed to some really terrible song placement. from their page on the abortion known as myspace:

Blondfires first release was met with great support from iTunes and the track, L-L-Love was featured as the Free Single of the Week, seeing nearly 300,000 downloads. The EP also saw placements in the Jennifer Lopez/Jane Fonda comedy Monster-In-Law, Josh Hartnettss [sic] Mozart and the Whale, Dawsons Creek, Nike online mixes, and VH1s Awesomely Oversexed.

guess that explains why I missed the release of their 2 itunes-exclusive EPs. everyone needs to go buy paper doll, so they can afford to be placed in non-j.lo movies.
