there was a scene in lost this season where hurley asks sun if she’s from “the good korea, or the bad korea”. well, that’s pretty much how things are at this point. north korea has become a nightmare to deal with. not because kim jong-il is a megalomaniac, or that his people are starving and brainwashed (we don’t know if this is actually true), but because the country’s true intentions are still such a mystery.

it’s a soggy day for fireworks, but there’s nothing more american than blowing things up. except maybe apple pie, baseball, and lobbyists.

and of course nasa had to one-up everyone else with today’s shuttle launch. suck on that, red white & boom.
