shape of things to come

well, that was one hell of a game… for the first half, anyway. there was so much speed on both sides of the court in the ohio state/north carolina matchup last night that it looked like a benny hill sketch.

it’s a shame that ohio state didn’t have enough to pull through in the end – the lack of a dominant inside presence really killed their momentum, and sealed the game. sure, the home crowd was hostile, but that didn’t seem to faze anyone. thad matta did what he could to keep them in the game, even though the refs were clearly not on his side.

at least we got an answer to the question on everyone’s minds: whether or not the buckeyes were too high in the polls without oden, especially having only played teams like youngstown state and bernie’s auto shop. the answer: not really. maybe a few spots too high for right now, but damn, if the the future isn’t bright.

The Buckeyes looked real good. They will be quite a force if the big guy is as good as Dicke V and everyone is saying. Go Bucks!
