suck it, philbin.

it’s payback for you and your fruity notre dame. sure, it took a while for the offense to get started, but at least it was a hell of a lot more interesting than the ohio state-akron snooze-fest.

the biggest story of the day, though, was neither the rape of notre dame nor michigan’s second consecutive spanking. no, it was the fact that oregon ran the statue of liberty successfully. TWICE.

oregon’s coach deserves both a raise and a ticker-tape parade.

next week will see both of these overrated teams play when notre dame visits michigan. there will be no winner.

[edit 12:48am] auburn just lost to southern florida in overtime, and wisconsin is barely leading unlv. let the tired old argument of “parity” begin once again.

espn is gay for the irish

espn sure loves them some notre dame. regis announcing the opening lineup vs. the penn state equipment manager? squealing like schoolgirls every time jimmy clausen’s name is mentioned, and making their own excuses for charlie weis? it’s pretty obvious who they favor. I’m probably the only person who thinks it’ll be a close game, but come on.

lost but not gone forever

does this sound… strangely familiar to anyone?

if you said “sounds like guster”, then you think the same way I do. only this song, where we went wrong, is actually by a group called “the hush sound”, and the rest of the album doesn’t really sound quite as guster-esque. mostly because the lead singer duties are shared between a guy and a girl instead of 3 hippies, but also because their lyrics are kind of… eh.

today was a good day

not only did penn state beat the hell out of florida international and ohio state roll over the penguins, but the story of the day – michigan lost to a freakin’ division I-AA (formerly division II) team. how great is that? as a psu fan, I can tell you that preseason hype means a whole lot of nothing.

I would’ve watched at least one of these games, had the big ten not sucked a large nut by broadcasting them only on their lame network. bunch of greedy bastards. instead, steve and I took most of the day detailing the mazda, which now looks as good as new. see for yourself:

how shiny?
very shiny.

oh man, and I almost forgot about georgia tech nearly shutting-out notre dame.
