went to see katie in the hospital yesterday, and after 32 hours of labor, I’d say she deserves a nice long vacation.
here’s little tommy with his proud papa, on my phone’s pathetic little camera:
by the way, the kid’s only 2 days old and he’s already got massive amounts of hair. it’s possible that he may be the child foretold in stories of yore: the boy who will finally leapfrog dr. nick and scott’s tie for hairiest man alive.

there’s been 16 inches of snow in 24 hours here in columbus. this is also the first time there’s ever been a level 2 snow emergency in central ohio, from what I can remember.

… that everyone in ohio suddenly becomes an oklahoma fan, even though they’d likely lose to west virginia’s crazy speed if that matchup occurs. even though tressel would (hopefully) be more prepared for this time around, it’d be a whole lot like last year’s national championship.
the more I watch the nfl, the more I hate those shitty UPS commercials – you know, the one with the whiteboard and random guy talking about logistical whatever. no one cares, and your commercials are terrible, along with your overplayed 2004 song by the postal service. what can brown do for me? stop making lame commercials.
[edit 10:58pm] pitt just did the impossible and beat wvu, even though the shitty big east officials did everything to keep them from winning. I can’t believe I was actually cheering for pitt… hopefully joepa will forgive me.
[edit 11:47pm] … and there goes missouri as well. this season is insane.

the 2nd quarter has barely begun in the oregon/arizona game, and already the tide is turning against #2 oregon. their quarterback – heisman trophy candidate dennis dixon – has re-injured his knee, and the ducks don’t seem to know what to do without him.
also, it seems that both ohio state and illinois have been fined an even $10k by the big 10 for last week’s “altercation”.
[edit 10:14pm] 30-11, arizona. it’s official, oregon’s in big trouble.
and now it’s final. oregon’s all but out of the national championship.
